Classes 6 to 8 — curiosity and vocabulary

At this stage the aim is understanding rather than marks. Everyday examples, simple demonstrations and clear diagrams are used to build the vocabulary and observation habits that Classes 9 and 10 will assume the student already has.

Class 9 — where the subject gets technical

Motion, force, gravitation, work and energy introduce real numerical work, while atoms, molecules and cell biology introduce precise definitions. Students who coast through Class 8 often feel the jump here, so sessions spend time on calculation discipline and correct terminology.

Class 10 — board pattern preparation

• Physics — light, the human eye, electricity and magnetic effects of current
• Chemistry — chemical reactions, acids bases and salts, metals, non-metals and carbon compounds
• Biology — life processes, control and coordination, reproduction, heredity and environment
• Balanced equations, ray diagrams, circuit problems and labelled biology diagrams practised in writing

Building towards Class 11

Students planning to take Physics, Chemistry or Biology in senior secondary benefit from having Class 9 and 10 concepts genuinely secure. Where that is the goal, the tutor deliberately strengthens the topics those subjects will build on.
